IT Service Desk Operative

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an IT Service Desk Operative for a busy, fast paced business based in Birmingham City Centre.

This role is paying £21k per annum + benefits. The team is lively, dynamic and results focused. This is a great oppurtunity that offers brilliant progression routes!  

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide a high performance, highly productive desktop, applications and communications infrastructure, specifically in relation to Tier 1and 2 support.
  • To provide first line support on desktop, mobile devices, printers and related system issues
  • To record all software purchases and maintain the software licensing database
  • Regular movement and placement of hardware including PC’s, monitors and printers
  • To maintain hardware and software as required, implementing fixes; upgrades and general servicing requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good working knowledge of LAN, wireless, VPN knowledge and other related network technologies.
  • Mobile phones and tablet technology
  • Desktop and Laptop Hardware
  • Computing background with knowledge of operating systems; software
