People Data Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a talented People Data Analyst who can join an established People Team, to help excel in achieving objectives through the intelligent use of people data and analytics.  

As a People Data Analyst you will be comfortable using our People systems to extract the relevant types of data, complete complex levels of data analysis, and present your findings in a professional and insightful way to the key stakeholders within the business. The successful candidate will have the ability to tell a meaningful story and have a data-curious mindset to be that voice within the business

You will be responsible for maintaining systems and supporting future system developments, as well as managing key relationships with internal stakeholders and teams, and external suppliers

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Produce regular reports and analysis packs to key stakeholders within the business
  • Undertake data analysis exercises and provide associated insights to help solve key business problems and enable strategic focus
  • Track and maintain key statistical data not contained within the People systems, as directed by line management
  • Act as a technical specialist in the knowledge and maintenance of core People Data systems including the Applicant Tracking System (Job Train) and our in-house HRIS (CCMS)
  • Provide user support to team members and external partners working within the Applicant Tracking System
  • Manage user administration requirements on the Applicant Tracking System – setting up new users, updating access permissions and removing those who no longer need access
  • Develop core relationships within the business, throughout the Resourcing & Relations function and beyond into Operations and other business functions as required
  • Deliver practical training for new users on the Applicant Tracking System, and maintain up to date user guides for further support
  • Produce and maintain process maps (using Visio or similar) for key People data-based processes
  • Participate in business projects, acting as an expert in People Data to drive and support strategic decision making
  • Embrace new technologies, system functionality and advancements in data to innovate and evolve our capabilities in predictive analytics models


Essential Skills

  • Experience of working with People Data systems (HRIS, ATS or other) in a fast-paced environment
  • An analytical thinker with a strong ability to manipulate and interpret complex data
  • Able to work independently and with the ability to proactively problem solve
  • A working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and Business Intelligence tools /
  • Corporate Performance Management tools – Preferably Job Train and Business Objects
  • Ability to present statistical information in a professional and clear manner, with compelling narrative and impactful visuals which is suitable for reports and presentations being shared with the most senior levels in the business
  • A committed, enthusiastic, positive, resourceful and resilient individual
  • Comfortable to share knowledge with and train others when needed on systems and processes
  • Understanding of database management practices
