Finance Manager
Essex
About the Role
We are looking for an impressive Finance Manager for a fantastic business based in Essex. You will have a background in finance leadership you will head up the finance function. You will monitor & analyse the financial performance of the business to create and manage the business financial strategy, Looking at ways to improve the business performance.
To begin with the role will be fully office based due to the business & personal requirements to learn and understand the operational requirements.
Your responsibility will be to:
- Inspire, motivate & lead your senior finance team to deliver an excellent business results.
- Managing day to day running and operations of the accounts department.
- Prepare the monthly management accounting documentation, including all analysis and commentaries
- Maintaining and control; balance sheet; accounted and reconciled
- Production of financial forecast and sales budgets.
- Dealing with all HMRC items ensuring the company remains compliant
- Producing and submitting VAT returns and other monthly returns.
- Ensure efficient running of Sage accounting system.
- Supervise, train and motivate team.
- Reviewing and developing all systems, processes and controls.
- You will have the ability to work using own initiative and prioritise workloads
- Intermediate / Advanced - Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SAGE
- Ability to deliver business results and meet company expectations
- Experience of implementing new processes into a finance function
- Knowledge of the debt recovery, financial services sector
- Qualified Accountant/ ACCA.
