Cactus Search is supporting a large and well-known consultancy with the appointment of an HR Advisor into their large and impressive offices in Central Belfast.

Due to ongoing success and recent expansion, this is a newly created office-based role.

Our client is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join and offer support to the HR manager of this office, with all generalist HR duties around employee engagement and conflict resolution.

This is an exciting opportunity for career development and to really put your stamp on a new position, supporting senior management with a wide range of HR operational duties including ongoing projects.

The role involves:

• To advise managers on aspects of employee relations, both informal & formal levels, ensuring a consistent approach across all functions
• Providing advice and guidance on ER issues including discipline, capability and grievance matters, from initial allegation, and investigation through to formal hearing and appeal.
• Supporting with typical HR questions such as holiday calculations, managing sickness absence, handling resignations, and advising on process and best practice within employment law.
• Train managers/employees on implementation of HR related policies through workshops as and when required
• Assisting with employment policies and procedures, new employer guides and resources.
• To identify to the HR Manager, areas for improvement within the HR function including recruitment, payroll, employee relations and other policy and processes and contribute to the formulation and effective implementation of revised policies and procedures in line with changing legislation and/or business requirements
• Produce reports, as required, from the HR and recruitment systems.
• Contribute to the review of employment offer documentation
• Undertake developmental activities across the HR function as dictated by business needs.
• Undertaking ad-hoc project work as required.

Experience and skills:

• CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD.
• Committed to continuous professional development.
• Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite of software.
