Management Accountant

We are currently searching for a Fully remote experienced Management accountant for a growing UK brand.

Fully Remote - £40K

Job Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis.
• Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop budget plans and monitor budget performance.
• Analyse budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations to management.

3. Cost Analysis and Management:

• Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost efficiency.
• Monitor and analyse costs related to production, operations, and projects.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes.

4. Financial Planning and Strategy:

• Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis.
• Participate in the development of long-term financial plans and goals.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

5. Audit and Compliance:

• Lead and manage the internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and information as requested to external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

Skillset
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. ACCA, CIMA, AAT or other relevant certification is a plus.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
